    Okay…I really must submit a picture – because cake is my ALL-TIME favorite and I would roll in it if I could. Carrot cake and cream-cheese frosting is my falling, but I would never shun a vanilla or chocolate.

    Hell, it can be bad cake – and I will still doing what that lovely girl in the first photo is doing 🙂

    This makes me smile. My favourite cake picture (and possibly only?) was taken after a 4 month stint in hospital for anorexia & bulimia. A friend of mine took me out for cake and I ate it. It was so hard,but at the same time, it was soooo good.

    love these pics and your blog! i have 3 kids and go to a lot of birthday parties, and i always eat the damn cake, am so surprised by all the moms who don’t – isnt that the least i should get out of taking the kid to yet another party?

    Mmmmmm. I love to bake the cakes: yellow with chocolate frosting, pound cake with butter frosting, chocolate with chocolate, carrot cake, Nanny’s sour cream chocolate chip cake. It’s all good and I make it from scratch since I’m a food snob. Yum! Bet you wish you were at my house…Thanks for the photos! They are great!

    Anyone who would demonize cake should be taken out and forced to eat cake! Cup cakes, birthday cake, wedding cake, upside down cake, lava cake, rum cake, bundt cakes can make even the worse day worth getting out of bed for. You go girls!

    Thank you for these wonderful pictures. Eating cake (and other tasty desserts) is such a normal and enjoyable thing to do. It makes me sad to see the diet mentality that surrounds us saying (and making us believe) differently.
